REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
REMOVAL AND INSPECTION
Support the vehicle with a support block to
raise the rear wheels off the ground.
Support the swingarm and remove the lower
mounting bolt/nut.
Remove the upper mounting bolt/nut and
nut and the shock absorber.
Inspect the shock absorber rod.
Bends/damage → Replace the shock
absorber assembly.
Inspect the shock absorber.
Oil leaks → Replace the shock absorber
assembly.
Inspect the spring.
Move the spring up and down.
Fatigue → Replace the shock absorber
assembly.
Inspect the bushes.
Wear/damage → Replace.
