Using Convenient Fax Functions > FAX Box Function
Sub Address Transmission
To specify a FAX Box when sending a fax, follow the steps below.
For the setting method when the machine receives originals, refer to the following:

Select [Fax] on the Home screen.

Place the originals.

Specifying destination.
Use the numeric keys to enter the destination fax number.

Configure the function.
1 [Detail] > [Sub Address]
2 Select “Sub Address” input box, enter the sub address using the numeric keys.
You can use up to 20 digits including the numbers from 0 to 9, ‘ (space)’, ‘#’ and ‘*’
characters to enter a sub address.
3 Select “Password” input box, enter the sub address password using the numeric keys.
You can use up to 20 digits including the numbers from 0 to 9, ‘ (space)’, ‘#’ and ‘*’
characters to enter a sub address password.
4 [OK] > [OK]

Send Start.
Check the destination and press the [Start] key.
To use sub address transmission, check that a sub address and password have been set in the receiving system in
advance.
Encrypted transmission cannot be used in sub address transmission.
When a sub address has been registered to the destination of the Address Book, you can
use the destination. When a sub address-registered destination in the Address Book is used
for a One Touch Key, you can also use the One Touch Key.
When [On] is selected in [Dest. Check before Send], a destination confirmation screen is
displayed when you press the [Start] key.
