Motorola’s Wireless Intrusion Protection Software (WIPS) monitors for unauthorized rogue Access Points.
Unauthorized attempt to access the WLAN is generally accompanied by anomalous behavior as intruding
wireless clients trying to find network vulnerabilities. Basic forms of this behavior can be monitored and
reported without a dedicated WIPS.
This screen displays the statistics of the WIPS events, the AP which reported the event, the unauthorized
device, and so on.
Type Identifies whether the radio is 802.11b, 802.11bg, 802.11bgn, 802.11a, or
802.11an.
State Displays the radio’s current operational mode, either calibrate, normal, sensor
or offline.
Channel Displays the operating channel assigned to the AP radio.
Power Displays the power level in dBm for the selected radio.
