Siemens Commissioning Guide CM1G5192en
Building Technologies 6 Commissioning 29.07.2010
6.9 Copying SED2 parameters
Caution!
After the copy process, quick commissioning is mandatory, which must be
concluded with parameter P3900=3.
If parameter sets are transferred or copied, motor data in the respective VSD must
checked and compared with those of the connected motor.
If this is not observed, the connected motor will not operate troublefree and, in
extreme cases, the SED2 will be damaged, the reason being the motor parameters
(e.g. stator resistance) which are also copied in this process.
Up- and download of a parameter set can be effected in 2 different ways:
With an AOP
With the PC EasyComm software
6.9.1 Procedure
Uploading parameter sets
AOP: Refer to Operating Instructions (CM1B5192en)
EasyComm: Upload VSD parameter set to PC / laptop
Downloading parameter sets
AOP: Refer to Operating Instructions
EasyComm: Download the parameter set from the PC / laptop to another VSD

P1121 30 s Ramp-down time
P3900 3 End of quick commissioning Quick commissioning only for motor data
Check motor data
Caution!
The motor data specified for use by the SED2 must accord with those of the
connected motor! In particular, the ramp-up time (P1120) and ramp-down time
(P1121) must be matched to the motor in use.
When using the PID controller, the parameters of PID proportional gain (P2280),
PID integral action time (P2285) and PID derivative action time (P2274) must be
matched to the controlled system!
