4.5.1 Connection information
WARNING
Danger due to electrical current
The power cable to be connected at the customer location could be damaged by improper
connection to the device.
• Check whether the existing line voltage corresponds to the line voltage specied on the
nameplate of the device or in the technical specications.
You can also nd the required line voltage in the test certicate valid for your country.
• Before starting up the device, you should carry out a visual inspection and PE conductor test
of the cable. To do this, proceed in accordance with the country-specic safety standards,
regulations or other applicable directives.
• Because part of the cable runs in the device, always adhere to the product safety standard
IEC/EN 61010-1 or its national equivalent.
Note
Insulation of external connections
The insulation of the external connections against the power inlet for proper operation of the
device with a rated voltage up to 300V is designed for 3000V AC.
Note
Connection requirements
The power cable must comply with the valid regulations and conditions for the place of
installation and be provided with a protective conductor at the potential of the enclosure. The
cross-section of each wire must be ≥1mm
2
(17 AWG).
4.5.2 Requirements for electrical connection
• Ensure that a power disconnection unit belonging to the device is located in the direct vicinity
of the device.
This power disconnection device must be labelled so that it is linked exclusively with this
device.
• Check that the existing power supply corresponds to that specied on the rating plate of the
device.
