Risk of electric shock.
• Avoid working on the device when it is energized.
• If working on an energized device is necessary, ensure that the environment is dry.
• Make sure when carrying out cleaning and maintenance work that no moisture penetrates
the inside of the device.
WARNING
Hot, toxic or corrosive process media
Risk of injury during maintenance work.
When working on the process connection, hot, toxic or corrosive process media could be
released.
• As long as the device is under pressure, do not loosen process connections and do not
remove any parts that are pressurized.
• Before opening or removing the device ensure that process media cannot be released.
CAUTION
Hot surfaces
Risk of burns during maintenance work on parts having surface temperatures exceeding 70 °C
(158°F).
• Take corresponding protective measures, for example by wearing protective gloves.
• After carrying out maintenance, remount touch protection measures.
CAUTION
Hot parts in the device
Temperatures that can burn unprotected skin may be present for some time after the device has
been switched o.
• Observe the waiting time specied in AUTOHOTSPOT or on the device before starting with
maintenance work.
6.4 Maintaining the analyzer in Ex areas
After repair of an Ex-device have the device checked by an Ex specialist before the device is put
back into operation in hazardous areas. The Ex specialist determines whether the analyzer has
the essential features and meets the requirements for explosion protection and issues a
certicate to this eect and/or has attached a test symbol to the equipment.
