4.6.3 Connecting the power supply

Securing the IEC connector for Ex-devices
An IEC connector and a guard bracket are enclosed with the device. The guard bracket that is
screwed over the IEC connector protects the IEC connector from being pulled out
unintentionally.

Procedure
1. Connect the wires of the connecting cable to the IEC connector ④. Ensure that the power
supply and PE conductor connections are correct!
Tighten the screws in the IEC connector with a torque of:
– 0.5Nm at the terminals
– 0.3Nm at the cable terminals (strain relief) and the connector enclosure.
2. Connect the appliance plug ④ to the power supply unit ①.
