Operating Information
This section covers basic operation information so that you can operate and
prepare to service the instrument.
You should always back up your user files on a regular basis. Use the Microsoft
Back Up tool to back up files stored on the hard disk. The B ack Up tool is
located in the System Tools folder in the Accessories folder.
1. Minimize the oscilloscope application by selecting Minimize from the F ile
menu.
2. Select the Windows Start button, point to P rograms, Accessories, System
Tools, and then click Backup.
3. Use the Microsoft B ackup tool to select your backup media and to select the
files and folders that you want to back up. Use the online help for informa-
tion on using the Backup tool. You can back up to the floppy drive, or to a
third-party storage device over the printer port (rear panel).
This section shows the main parts of the user interface.
The following illustration shows the oscilloscope in the M enu bar mode. All
features of the oscilloscope can be accessed through the menus using a mouse or
the touch screen.
When the oscilloscope is in the Tool bar mode, most of the control windows can
be accessed by touching buttons at the top of the display.
