4.14. Connections examples
In this chapter it is possible to find some connection examples to give an idea of what combinations of
devices are possible and what are the important limitations you need to consider before mounting the
Dewesoft system.
4.14.1. Two SIRIUS USB/EtherCAT devices
4.14.1.1. USB
When acquiring data from multiple measurement devices, the degree to which the data of the different
channels can be correlated to each other in time can be very important. If the acquired data of the
different devices is not synchronised, the analysis may be inaccurate or even completely wrong. The
importance of synchronization increases with the speed of data acquisition.
When connecting two SIRIUS USB devices to a PC, an additional synchronisation cable is required.
