Serial Bridge: The Serial Bridge Profile configuresone side of a serial bridge. Abridge
connectstwo serial devices over the network asif they were connected with a serial cable. This
isalso referred to as serial tunneling. Each serial device isconnected to the serial port of a Digi
device server. You must configure one Digi device asthe client and the other Digi device asthe
server.
This profile configures each side of the bridge separately.

TCP Sockets: Auto-Connect (TCP client) to another host on the network or allow incoming
connectionson thisserial port (TCPserver). The TCPSocketsprofile allowsserial devicesto
communicate over a TCPnetwork. The TCPserver allows other network devices to initiate a
TCPconnection to the serial device attached to the serial port of the Digi Connect and
ConnectPort TSFamily product. The TCPclient will establish a TCPconnection to a defined IP
addressand port number.
