1. Configure the wirelesscard to operate in Ad-Hoc modewith the SSID- Connect.
2. Power up the device.
3. Launch the Discovery application on you computer and proceed with the configuration.
Set DIP switches on Digi Connect SP\Wi-SP
Digi Connect SPand Digi Connect Wi-SPhavea set of DIPswitches on the underside of the device for
setting the EIAmode for serial communications.
To set theDIPswitches on Digi Connect Wi-SP(or SP):
1. Disconnect the power supply.
Note ALWAYSdisconnect the power supply before resetting the DIP switches.
2. Set the Digi Connect Wi-SPDIPswitchesin the On or up position. The following image shows
the DIPSwitch settings required for command-line access for both the Digi Connect Wi-SPand
the Digi Connect SP.
3. Connect theDigi Connect Wi-SPto a computer with a serial cable.
4. Accessa terminal emulation program such as HyperTerm. For example, select Start >
Accessories> Communication >Hyperterm and type a name for the connection.
5. Select COM1 and click OK.
