5. Making the Upstream Unit Ready
Prepare the upstream unit for starting operations, such as setting the control panel. For details, refer to the
instruction manual of the upstream unit.
6. Adjusting Each Section (Step Mode)
Before starting a binding operation, adjust each section in the step mode. The adjusted value in the step
mode is saved in the memory you are currently using.
• When fore-edge trimming or head/foot trimming has been set to on, you can specify whether to
trim paper in the step mode.
• The booklet made in the step mode is not counted as the number of sets processed.
• When using the PC CONTROLLER, you can perform the step mode using the PC CONTROLLER. For
details, refer to the PC CONTROLLER operation manual.

Press the [Adjust] tab.

trimming has been set to on, press the
trimming on/off key to select whether
to activate trimming during the step
mode.
Each time you press the key, trimming is
switched between on and o.
O: the key is displayed in grey.
On: the key is displayed in green
When using the PC CONTROLLER , make setting on the PC CONTROLLER.

Press the step mode key.
The stitching section adjustment screen will
be displayed.
When the binding method has been set to
page insertion, the folding section adjustment
screen is displayed.
