If a service contract exists, safety tests may be performed by GE service
personnel.
Detailed information about safety tests can be found in the service manual.
Once the safety tests have been performed, no additional regular maintenance is
required.
Only use standards that guarantee sufficient accuracy. All such standards must be
based upon national or European standards.
Temperature Testing
To test temperature, use the following procedure and a MARQIII patient simulator.
1. Connect the simulator to the Temp/ CO patient connector.

2. Turn on the simulator, set the adapter to 400 and set the temperature output to
37ºC.
3. Check the temperature values in the TEMP parameter window. The displayed
value must be within ± 0.4ºCof the simulator setting.
If the readings fail, re-calibrate the Temp/CO circuit. For more information, refer
to the service manual
4. Repeat the procedure with the simulator adapter set to 700.
NBP Testing
To test NBP, use the following procedure and a digital pressure or calibrated mercury
manometer (for example, Sensym PDM200M or Diptron Plus 3).
