Initiating Become Primary command
Perform the following procedure to manually cause an unsynchronized secondary
controller to transition into a primary role in the absence of a partner controller.
Prerequisites
ï‚·
You can view active redundant C300 Controller pair on the Monitoring tab in
Control Builder.
ï‚·
The unsynchronized secondary controller has no view to a partner controller across
the redundancy cable and the primary IP address is currently not occupied.
Commanding Become Primary
To issue become primary command, perform the following steps.

In the Monitoring tab, double-click the secondary C300 icon. The
Parameters configuration form appears.

Click the Redundancy tab.

Click Become Primary.

Click Yes to confirm the action and issue the Become Primary command.

Confirm that the Secondary C300 Controller assumes the Primary role.

Click OK to close the Parameters form.

This completes the procedure.
