NOTE:
ï‚· Using the undo dhcp relay information format command without the keyword verbose node-identifier restores
the default normal padding format, or with the keyword verbose node-identifier restores the mac mode of the
verbose padding format.
ï‚· If configuring the handling strategy of the DHCP relay agent as replace, you need to configure a padding
format of Option 82. If the handling strategy is keep or drop, you need not configure any padding format.
ï‚· If sub-option 1 (node identifier) of Option 82 is padded with the device name (sysname) of a node, the device
name must contain no spaces. Otherwise, the DHCP relay agent will drop the message.

Parameters
ascii: Specifies the code type for the remote ID sub-option as ascii.
hex: Specifies the code type for the remote ID sub-option as hex.
Description
Use the dhcp relay information remote-id format-type command to configure the code type for the non-
user-defined remote ID sub-option.
Use the undo dhcp relay information remote-id format-type command to restore the default.
By default, the code type for the remote ID sub-option is HEX.
This command applies only to configuring the non-user-defined remote ID sub-option. After you configure
the padding content for the remote ID sub-option using the dhcp relay information remote-id string
command, ASCII is adopted as the code type.
