Situation in which the function may
not detect pedestrian and cyclist
properly.
The sensor may be limited when:
䳜 The pedestrian or cyclist is not
fully detected by the camera rec

ognition function, for example, if
the pedestrian is leaning over or is
not fully walking upright.
䳜 The pedestrian or cyclist is mov

ing very quickly or appears
abruptly in the camera detection
area.
䳜 The pedestrian or cyclist is wear

ing clothing that easily blends into
the background, making it difficult
to be detected by the camera
recognition system.
䳜 The outside lighting is too bright
(e.g. when driving in bright sun

(e.g. when driving on a dark rural

䳜 It is difficult to detect and distin

䳜 There is an item similar to a per

䳜 The pedestrian or cyclist is small.
䳜 The pedestrian has impaired
mobility.
䳜 The sensor recognition is limited.
䳜 The radar sensor or camera is
blocked with a foreign object or
debris.
䳜 Inclement weather such as heavy
rain or snow obscures the field of
