ƒ If it is i nevitable to interrupt the motor cable (e.g. by chokes, contactors
or terminals):
– The unshielded c able length must not exceed 100 mm (depending on
the cable cross-section).
– Chokes, contactors, terminals etc. must be separated from the other
components (at least with a distance of 100 mm).
– Connect the shield of the motor c able to the mounting plate directly
before and behind the point of separation with a surfarce as large as
possible.
ƒ Connect the shield in the motor terminal box or on the motor housing
to PE.
– Metal glands at the motor terminal box ensure a connection of the
shield and the motor housing.
