Stop the vehicle.

Shift the transmission to position P.

Turn the key to position 0 in the ignition lock.

Wait at least 10 seconds before restarting the engine.

Releasing the parking lock manually
In the event of an electrical fault, it is possible
to release the selector lever lock manually to
move it out of position P, e.g. if you wish to
tow the vehicle away.

Apply the parking brake.

Remove cup holder : by pulling it
upwards.
Vehicles with the CLASSIC or AVANT-
GARDE design and equipment lines

Insert suitable tool :, e.g. a screwdriver,
into the opening.
X
Push tool : in the direction of the arrow
and simultaneously move the selector lever
out of position P.

Pull out tool :.
The selector lever can now be moved freely
until it is returned to position P.
