4. F1/F2
Face1/Face2 Measurement
Perform F1/F2 measurements to obtain maximum accuracy for measuring angles.
(Refer to p.2-14) By doing so, mechanical constant error (except some special
error such as the vertical axis error) can be effectively cancelled out.
Without taking a distance measurement, you can
take F1/F2 data by pressing [ANG] [4].
[4]/[ENT]
If a distance measurement has been taken to the
target, you can initiate F1/F2 averaging by just
flipping the telescope to the other face.
For the HA to be adjusted from a F1/F2
measurement, the Backsight must also have been
measured in F1/F2 during the station setup.
5. Hold
Horizontal Angle Hold
Press the [5] key on ANG menu to hold the
horizontal angle to the current value.
Press the [Set] softkey or [ENT] key to set the
horizontal angle as it is displayed. By [Abrt]
softkey or [ESC] key, the process is canceled and it
returns to the BMS.
