II Getting Ready
1 Insert the battery ( CD 7).
For information on charging the
battery, see "Charging the Battery"
( CD 2).
2 Insert a memory card ( CD 9).
3 Attach a lens ( CD 12).
• Align the white dot on the lens with
the white dot on the camera body
( G) ) and rotate the lens in the
direction shown (® ).
• A strap can be attached to the
camera. For more information, see
"Attaching the Strap" ( CD 1 ).
4 Turn the camera on and then
choose a language and set the
clock ( CD 14 ).
