ThePilotsettingsincludethefollowingoptions:

Commissioning
Initialsetupandcommissioning
Vesselsettings
Thevesselsettingsaredesignedtoprovideoptimum
steeringperformancefortypicalvessels.
Itisimportanttocompletethevesselhulltype
selectionaspartoftheinitialset-up,asitformsa
keypartoftheautopilotcalibrationprocess.You
canalsoaccesstheoptionsatanytimebyselecting
PilotSettings>VesselsettingsfromthePilot
Set-uppage.

Thevesselhulltypeoptionsaredesignedtoprovide
optimumsteeringperformancefortypicalvessels.
Itisimportanttocompletethevesselhulltype
selectionaspartoftheinitialset-up,asitformsa
keypartofthecommissioningprocess.Youcan
alsoaccesstheoptionsatanytimewiththepilotin
StandbyfromthePilotSet-uppagebyselecting:

characteristics.Theoptionsare:

Power(fastturn).
Itisimportanttobeawarethatsteeringforces(and
thereforerate-of-turn)varysignicantlydepending
onthecombinationofvesseltype,steeringsystem,
anddrivetype.Therefore,theavailablevesselhull
typeoptionsareprovidedforguidanceonly.You
maywishtoexperimentwiththedifferentvesselhull
typeoptions,asitmightbepossibletoimprovethe
steeringperformanceofyourvesselbyselectinga
differentvesseltype.
