c) Procedure for installation of the communication pro-
gram on the PC
- Check which TCU part no. and thus which program version
is applicable.
Insert the floppy disk into the disk drive and copy the
corresponding communication program onto the hard disk.
◆ NOTE: Copy the communication program into a direc-
tory with a corresponding name.
3.1.1.4) Application of the communication program
a) Start of the program:
- Establish connections PC - dongle (for TCU part no.
966470)
or directly with
the RS232 plug connection (for TCU part no. 966741) -

- switch on TCU
▲ WARNING: Ensure engine ignition “OFF” and secured
against unintentional “ON”.
switch on PC (if not active already)
- start the program by doubleclicking on the program symbol.
◆ NOTE: The first time the program is started, it will ask
for the graphic adapter and the interface.
Normally, “V“ is entered for VGA and “1“ for COM1. After
entering these parameters, the configuration file TLR.cfg will
be created and stored in the communication program.
◆ NOTE: If the wrong interface is entered, this file can
be deleted and the program start repeated.
