Danger of injury by falling objects
If you do not use the supplied mounting brackets for 19"rack installation, it is not possible to
install the device correctly.
Use only the supplied mounting brackets.
There are several ways of fixing the mounting brackets depending on the mounting position
required.
Grounding simply via the housing is inadequate.
In this case, connect the functional ground to ensure reliable operation.
With devices with a supply voltage of 100 to 240 VAC / 60 to 250 VDC, you should also
connect the protective earth to the grounding bolt.
On the SCALANCE X-300EEC, the grounding bolt is on the bottom of the device.
On the SCALANCE XR-300M EEC, the grounding bolt is on the rear of the housing
between the power connectors.
