TESTING
For Service Technician Use Only
TEST #9: Heater Element
(on some models)
Perform the following checks to ensure the heater is
funconing properly.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Remove the heater terminal plasc cover.
3. Check the connecon to the water heater element.
4. Check the resistance of the heater element. If the heater
is open (innite), replace the heater element and reinstall
the heater terminal plasc cover.
5. Visually inspect that the connector on the main control
(J5) that plugs into the lower harness is installed correctly
(see wiring diagram, page 6-4).
¾ If visual check passes, go to step 7.
¾ If visual check fails, reconnect cable.
6. If connecons are correct, replace the main control.
