TESTING
For Service Technician Use Only
TEST #9: Heater Element
(on some models)
Perform the following checks to ensure the heater is
funconing properly.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Remove the heater terminal plasc cover.
3. Check the connecon to the water heater element.
4. Check the resistance of the heater element. If the heater
is open (innite), replace the heater element and reinstall
the heater terminal plasc cover.
5. Visually inspect that the connector on the main control
(J5) that plugs into the lower harness is installed correctly
(see wiring diagram, page 6-4).
¾ If visual check passes, go to step 7.
¾ If visual check fails, reconnect cable.
6. If connecons are correct, replace the main control.
