ADJUSTING THE CLUTCH CABLE FREE
PLAY
1. Check:
• clutch cable free play
a
Out of specification
→
Adjust.
2. Adjust:
• clutch cable free play

Handlebar end
a. Slide back the rubber cover

b. Loosen the locknut

c. Turn the adjusting bolt

in direction

or

until the specified clutch cable free play
is obtained.
d. Tighten the locknut.
e. Slide the rubber cover to its original posi-
tion.
NOTE:
_
If the specified clutch cable free play cannot be
obtained on the handlebar end of the cable,
adjust the free play at the engine end of the
cable using the adjusting nut.
Engine end
a. Loosen the locknut

b. Turn the adjusting nut

in direction

or

until the specified clutch cable free play
is obtained.
c. Tighten the locknuts.
