For each of these users, you must also define the permissionsthat determine the actionsthe user is
allowed to perform in the ConnectPort TSweb interface.
Note The permissionsassigned to theuser on thedevice must exactly match the permissions
assigned to the attributes on the RADIUS server . See RADIUSserver reference.
To create the default users for RADIUS authentication:
1. Accessthe web interface.
2. Select Configuration >Users.
3. Add the role-admin user.
a. Click New. The Add New User page displays.
b. Enter a default name: role-admin
c. Enter the password: role-admin
d. Click Apply. The changes take effect immediately. No logout/login isnecessary.
4. Add the role-outbound user.
a. Click New. The Add New User page displays.
b. Enter a default name: role-outbound
c. Enter the password: role-outbound
d. Click Apply. The changes take effect immediately. No logout/login isnecessary.
5. Add the role-nasprompt user.
a. Click New. The Add New User page displays.
b. Enter a default name: role-nasprompt
c. Enter the password: role-nasprompt
d. Click Apply. The changes take effect immediately. No logout/login isnecessary.
6. Thethree new users display in the Userspage. You must define the accessand permissionsfor
each user.
a. Click role-admin.
b. Expand the User Accesssection and configure user access. See Change user access
settings.
c. Expand the User Permissionssection and configure the permissions. See User
permissionssettings.
d. Repeat the processfor the remaining roles: role-outbound and role-nasprompt.
Enable RADIUSauthentication
You can enable RADIUSauthentication for a device, and then configure the Digi device to use oneor
more RADIUS(Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) servers to authenticate user profiles.
