Before you hot-swap a Qlogic card on Windows, uninstall the Qlogic card
management software, including:
Management Agents, QConvergeConsole CLI Management Tool, and
QConvergeConsole GUI Management Tool
Otherwise, after you press the hot swap button, the Qlogic card cannot be
powered
o because the Qlogic card driver is used by the management software.
Data
● You have obtained the cabinet number and chassis number of the RH8100 V3.
● You have located the RH8100 V3 based on the preceding information, and
labeled its panel to prevent misoperations.
● You have determined the position on the RH8100 V3 for removing a PCIe
card.
Tools
● ESD gloves
● Packaging materials, for example, an ESD bag
Procedure
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see 1 Safety Instructions.
Step 2 Press the hot swap button on the right of the PCIe card.
15, 16, and 17 in Figure 2-10 show the positions of the status indicator, power
indicator, and hot swap button on the PCIe card respectively.
Step 3 Wait until the power indicator is
o.
Step 4 Squeeze the green latch on the PCIe card handle. See step (1) in Figure 5-151.
Step 5 Pull the PCIe card out of the slot while holding the handle. See step (2) in Figure
5-151.
