Eight-drawer clustered configuration
This section describes an eight-drawer clustered appliance.
The eight-drawer clustered appliance consists of the following main components:
v two 3958 AP1 servers
v two Feature Code 3708: 4.8 TB Fibre Channel Disk Controllers
v six Feature Code 3707: 4.8 TB Fibre Channel Disk Expansion Units
v one Feature Code 3437: Cluster Connection Kit. This kit contains the following:
– two 1 Gb (gigabit) Ethernet switches, SMC model 8126L2
– one network power switch, Western Telematic, Inc. (WTI) model
VMR-8HD20-2
– power cables
– Ethernet cables
– mounting hardware
v one TSSC and its related components
