3 FBD Program
12-40 SmartAXIS Touch User's Manual
3.2 FB Reference
In the FBD program, there are FBs such as logical operation FBs that perform logical operations, timer FB to perform
processing using timer devices and counter FB to perform processing using counter devices. If the output of a FB is
inverted, the execution results of the FB are inverted and output. For FBs that support inverted output, refer to the
following table.

Programming and operating the user program of the SmartAXIS requires special knowledge.
To make effective use of the SmartAXIS, develop a thorough understanding of the contents of this manual
and the FBD programming.

I
Digital Input
Inputs ON/OFF information from an external
device to the Touch.

Special Internal Relay Special internal relays can be used as bit inputs
for FBs. Special function is allocated to each
special internal relay.
For details on the individual special internal
relays, see Chapter 7 "Devices" - "Special internal
relay list" in the "SmartAXIS Pro/Lite User's
Manual".

R
Shift Register
Outputs ON/OFF state of a shift register device. NO

Analog Input •For the analog inputs (A10, AI1) in the Touch,
the analog input values can be linearly
converted with the AI FB parameter settings
within the range of -32,768 to 32,767.
•For the analog input cartridge (AI2 to AI5), the
analog input values can be linearly converted
with the function area settings. For how to
configure the function area settings, refer to
Chapter 3 “4.15 Analog Cartridge” on page 3-88.
