Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 40)

Preparatory work
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 40)

Measure the vertical distance between the rear axle and a fixed
point, such as a marking on the side cover.
Note the value as dimension

Finishing work
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 40)

Hold the motorcycle upright with aid of an assistant.
