11.41 Checking the rubber grip

– Check the rubber grips on the handlebar for damage, wear,

and looseness.

» If a rubber grip is damaged, worn, or loose:

– Change the rubber grip.

– Additionally secure the rubber grip. ( p. 70)

Preparatory work

– Check the rubber grip. ( p. 70)

Main work

– Secure the rubber grip at two locations with the retaining wire.

Securing wire (54812016000)

Wire twister forceps (U6907854)

The twisted wire ends face away from the palms and are

bent in toward the rubber grip.
