1 Intermittent Buzzing/Vibration Noise from G 1000/2000
Dishwashers
Problem:
In rare installations, an intermittent buzzing or vibrating noise is emanating
from the dishwasher. This is possibly associated with the startup cycle of the
circulation pump. Miele dishwashers are engineered for their quietness
through all cycle phases.
Cause:
At the moment when the circulation pump starts, the lower edge of the metal
front cover plate may be sympathetically vibrating where it meets the bottom
pan. The bottom pan then may amplify this noise further.
Remedy:
Re-align the front cover plate as described in the photos below. Use a T-20
Torx driver to remove the screws. Release the lower part of the cover plate,
and then re-insert the screws with the lip of the cover plate outside of the
bottom pan. Be sure the hinge tabs at the top of the cover plate are fully
inserted into their slots.

2 G 2630 Electronic Replacement
Should the need arise to replace the electronic (ELPW540-A 120V, P/N
06719481) in a G 2630 Excella dishwasher, three programming positions
must be set and/or confirmed.
Symptom:
Dishwasher displays “Close Salt Lid” message; there is no salt container in
the door.
