Reassembling the 4-wheel drive shift lever
(Only for MT160/D and MT180/D)
It is not necessary to remove the 4-wheel
drive shift lever for clutch removal. This lever,
however, should be removed when the clutch
housing
is reassembled.
(1) Coat shifter bracket with sealer, and install
the bracket with the shifter shaft pin
admitted
into the groove provided in
shifter. Tighten bracket mounting bolts to
this torque value:
Tightening torque
2.5
~ 3.0 kg-m
(18
~ 22 ft-Ib)
(2) Check to be sure
that 4-wheel drive gear
can be shifted properly.
