tobelowerthan4°C(39°F)orifthetractoristobe
usedatanaltitudeexceeding1524m(5000ft).
•
UseNo.1-2dieselfuelwithapourpointofatleast
-12°C(10°F)belowtheexpectedambienttemperature
topreventfuelowproblemsincoldweather.
•
Keepdirtfromenteringthefueltank.
•
Sulfurcontentofthefuelshouldbenomorethan0.5%.
•
Sedimentandwatercontentshouldnotexceed0.5%.
•
Minimumcetanenumberis40.Lowtemperatureor
highaltitudeoperationmayrequireuseoffuelwitha
highercetanenumber.
•
Useproperlymixedwinterfuelwhentemperaturesare
extremelycold.Inmostareas,dieselfuelisproperly
blendedforsummerandwintergradesasambienttem-
peratureschange.Inwinter,usewintergradediesel
fuelonly.Otherwise,thefuelmaycloudandblockthe
fuelsystem.
FuelUsageSafety

UNDERNOCIRCUMSTANCESshouldgasoline,alco-
hol,orgasoholbeaddedtodieselfuel.Thesecombina-
tionscancreateanincreasedreorexplosivehazard.
•
Neverremovethefuelcaporrefuelthetractorwhilethe
engineisrunningorhot.
•
Neversmokewhilerefuelingoranywherenearfuel.
•
Whenllingthetank,maintaincontrolofthenozzle.
•
Donotllthefueltanktocapacity.Allowroomforex-
pansion.
•
Wipeupspillsimmediately.
•
Alwaystightenthefuelcapsecurely.
•
Iftheoriginalfueltankcapislost,alwaysreplaceitwith
aNewHollandapprovedcap.A"will-t"capmaynot
besafe.
•
Keepequipmentproperlymaintained.
•
Donotdriveequipmentnearopenres.
•
Neverusegasolineforcleaningparts.
Biodieselfuel-approvedblendratio
TheuseofbiodieselblendsmeetingSpecicationStan-
dardsASTM6751orEN14214areapprovedforyouren-
gineuptoB5(5%blendratio).Itishighlyrecommended
tousebiodieselfuelfromaccreditedsupplierstomaintain
qualityandconsistencyofthefuel.
Biodieseldoesnothavealongtermstabilityandshould
notbeleftinenginesorstoredformorethanfourmonths.
Ifyourmachineisstoredforlongterm,engineshouldbe
ushed,priortostorage,byrunningforaminimumof30
minuteswithconventionaldieselfuel.
Biodieselfuelhasahighercloudpointthanconventional
dieselfuelsandisnotrecommendedinwintermonths.
Consultyourfueldealerforwinterfuelrequirementsfor
yourarea.
Biodieselfuelattractsmoistureandmaycontainahigher
contentofwater.Itmaybenecessarytodrainthefuel
lterwatertrapmorefrequently.
