Yourmachineisequippedwithanoperatorprotective
structure,suchasaRolloverProtectiveStructure
(ROPS),FallingObjectProtectiveStructure(FOPS),or
cabwithROPS.Theprotectivestructureisaspecial
safetycomponentofyourmachine.
AROPSmaybeacabframeoratwo-postedor
four-postedstructureusedfortheprotectionofthe
operatortominimizethepossibilityofseriousinjury.The
mountingstructureandfastenersformingthemounting
connectionwiththemachinearepartoftheROPS.The
seatbeltisanintegralpartoftheROPS.
DONOTattachanydevicetotheprotectivestructurefor
pullingpurposes.DONOTdrillholesintheprotective
structure.
Theprotectivestructureandinterconnectingcomponents
areacertiedsystem.Anydamage,re,corrosion,
ormodicationwillweakenthestructureandreduce
yourprotection.Ifthisoccurs,thePROTECTIVE
STRUCTUREMUSTBEREPLACEDsothatitwill
providethesameprotectionasanewprotective
structure.Contactyourdealerforprotectivestructure
inspectionandreplacement.
Afteranaccident,re,andtip-orroll-over,thefollowing
MUSTbeperformedbyaqualiedtechnicianbefore
returningthemachinetoeldorjobsiteoperation:

TheprotectivestructureMUSTBEREPLACED.
•
Themountingorsuspensionfortheprotectivestruc-
ture,operatorseatandsuspension,seatbeltsand
mountingcomponents,andwiringwithintheoperator's
protectivesystemMUSTbecarefullyinspectedfor
damage.
•
AlldamagedpartsMUSTBEREPLACED.
DONOTWELD,DRILLHOLES,ATTEMPTTO
STRAIGHTEN,ORREPAIRTHEPROTECTIVESTRUC-
TURE.MODIFICATIONINANYWAYCANREDUCE
THESTRUCTURALINTEGRITYOFTHESTRUCTURE,
WHICHCOULDCAUSEDEATHORSERIOUSINJURY
INTHEEVENTOFAFIRE,TIP ,ROLLOVER,COLLI-
SION,ORACCIDENT.
