Brakepedals
WARNING
Lossofcontrolhazard!
Alwaysreducethetravelingspeedandusethe
steeringwheelwhileyoumakeaturn.When
youoperatethemachineathighspeeds,never
attempttomakesharpturnsbyusingtheturn-
ingbrakepedals.Ifyouusetheindividual
brakesathighspeeds,themachinecouldbe-
comemachineunstable.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorse-
riousinjury.

Therightbrakepedalcontrolsthebrakingactionofthe
rightrearwheel.Theleftbrakepedalcontrolsthebraking
actionoftheleftrearwheel.
ThefunctionofthebrakepedalsareidenticalfortheHST
andgearmodeltractorsexceptforthelocationoftheped-
als.Thebrakepedals(1)onaHSTmodeltractorarelo-
catedontheleft-handsideoftheoperatorsplatformand
thebrakepedals(2)onagearmodeltractorarelocated
ontheright-handsideoftheoperatorsplatform.
Stoppingthetractor
Tostopagearmodeltractor,depressbothbrakepedals
andtheclutchpedalsimultaneously.
TostopaHSTmodeltractor,releasetheHSTforwardor
reversepedalanddepressbothbrakepedalssimultane-
ously.
NOTE:Toassistinmakingsharpturnsatslowspeed,
depresstherightorleftbrakepedalasrequired.
NOTE:Depressingthebrakepedalswilldisengagethe
HSTcruisecontrol.
Brakepedallock
Thebrakepedalconnectingpin(3)isusedtosecurethe
brakepedalstogether.Lockthepedalstogetherwhen-
everthetractorisoperatedathighspeedsorwhenthe
tractorisusedonthehighway.
