ateefcientlyat540RPM±10RPM.Thetachometeris
markedtoindicate540PTORPM.Iftheneedleregisters
abovethe540RPMRPMmark,thisindicatesadanger-
ousoverspeedcondition,andtheengineRPMshouldbe
reducedimmediately.
ThePTOswitch(1)islocatedontheright-handsideof
thedashpanel.
NOTE:TostarttheenginethePTOswitchmustbeplaced
inthe"OFF"position
ToactivatethePTO,pushdownonthePTOswitchand
turntheswitchtothe"ON"position(2).
NOTE:WhenthePTOisengagedthePTOindicatorlight
willbeilluminatedontheinstrumentpanel.
TodisengagethePTO,pushdownonthePTOswitchand
theswitchwillautomaticallyreturntothe"OFF"position
(3).

Keyswitch
Thekeyswitch(1)islocatedontheright-handsideofthe
rearhoodpanel.Turningthekeytothemiddle"ON"posi-
tion(2)activatesthewarninglights,instruments,andpre-
heatsystem.Theenginestartswhenthekeyisturnedto
theextremeright"START"position(3).Ainternalspring
returnsthekeytothemiddle"ON"positionwhenreleased.
Turningthekeytotheextremeleft"STOP"position(4)will
shuttheengineoff.
