engine,theprecombustionchambersmustbeheated.

NOTICE:Whenstartingthemachineafterlongperiods,
avoidimmediateuseofhydraulics.Itisnecessarytoal-
lowtimeforenoughlubricationofallmovingpartsbefore
subjectingthetoworkloads,particularlyifoutdoortem-
peraturesapproach0°C(32°F).Runtheengineat1300
to1500RPMforapproximatelyfteenminutestobring
thetransmissionoiluptonormaloperatingtemperature.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindamagetothemachine.
Topreheattheengine,turnthekeyswitchcounterclock-
wisetothe"HEAT"position(1)orclockwisetothe“ON”
position(2).Thecoldstartindicatorlight(3)willilluminate
forapproximatelytenseconds.Theglowplugsheatthe
precombustionchambersduringthistime.Afterthelight
goesoutthetractorcanbestarted.Whenthekeyisre-
leasedfromthe“HEAT”positionthekeyswitchwillreturn
tothe“OFF”position.
NOTE:Thepreheatisauto-timed,whentheindicatorlight
goesoff,thepowertotheglowplugsisalsoremoved.
NOTE:Acoolantimmersionheaterisavailableasa
dealerinstalledoption.Thisheaterallowsforeasier
startingintemperaturesbelow-18°C(0°F)bywarming
theenginecoolant.
