This section provides information about the supported boot option modes and
storage locations for the following 7210 SAS platforms:

4.1.4.1 System Boot Options on 7210 SAS-M
This platform supports the following options to retrieve the boot.tim and TiMOS
images (both.tim) required to boot the system:
• local storage — internal flash (cf1:\)
• network (with auto-init mode)
• network (without auto-init mode)
During bootup, the bootrom searches for the boot.tim in the following locations in the
specified order, and uses the image obtained from the first location where boot.tim is
found to load the bootstrap image:
Note: The use of a boot.tim file on a USB storage for booting up is not supported on the
7210 SAS-M. The boot.tim is present in cf1:\, or the golden bootstrap image in cf1:\ is used.
The 7210 SAS-M supports the use of only a both.tim (TiMOS image) file on the USB storage
device.
