Installing TCP/IP Protocol
If TCP/IP protocol is not already installed on your computer, follow the
instructions below to install it.
Windows XP
1. Click [Start] → [Control Panel].
2. Click [Network and Internet Connection] → [Network Connection].
3. Double-click [Local Area Connection] and click [Properties] in the
“Location Area Connection Status” window.
4. If the [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)] is not listed, click [Install.].
5. In the "Select Network Component Type" window, click
[Protocol] → [Add].
6. In the "Select Network Protocol" window, click [Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP)] → [OK].
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the installation.
Windows 2000
1. Click [Start] → [Settings] → [Network and Dial-up Connections].
2. Double-click the [Local Area Connection] icon
3. In the "Local Area Connection Status" window, click [Properties].
4. In the "Local Area Connection Properties" window, click [Install].
5. In the "Select Network Component Type" window, click
[Protocol] → [Add].
6. In the "Select Network Protocol” window, click [TCP/IP
Protocol] → [OK].
7. Click [Close].
8. Click [Close].
NOTE
The Windows XP installation CD-ROM may be required
to complete the installation.
