Other
maintenance/service work on the OP37 involves replacing the back-
lighting and floppy disk drive. T
o do this, however
, the housing must be
opened.
19.4.1 Opening the OP37 housing
Observe
the following safety notes before starting to open the housing:

Warning
Repairs to the OP must be performed by suitably qualified and authorized
technical personnel.
The user may be exposed to considerable risk as a result of unauthorized
opening and unqualified repairs.

Caution
The back-lighting operates at voltages > 1000 V
. Make sure that the OP is
disconnected from the power supply
.
Always follow the ESD guidelines in the Appendix when working on open
devices.
Do not undo any sealed screws. The manufacturer
’
s warranty for your
device ceases if the seal is broken.
