6.4 Printing
Messages
Alarm
and event messages can be printed out
automatically
, following buf
fer overflow (see Chapter 6.3),
automatically
, as direct message logging.

Set the printer parameters in the
Printer Settings
standard screen. The standard
screen is described in Chapter 7.
Note
If the message buf
fer overflows as a result of a messages overload, it is pos
-
sible that messages cannot be printed. If this happens “****” appears in the
printout instead of messages.
Alarm and event messages can be printed out directly on arrival and departure
(alarm messages too, following acknowledgement) when this has been defined
in the message configuration. System messages are not logged.
Direct message logging can be enabled/disabled online via the OP using the
System Settings
standard screen. To do so, open the input window in the
MESSAGE
LOGGING
symbolic input field and select the required parameter

or
ON.
