MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
E724
REPLACEMENT OF THE HYDROSTATIC STEERING HOSES
Hydrostatic steering hoses must be replaced after four years from the date of
manufacturing (the date is marked on the hose surface) or after 3 600 hours of tractor
operation, eventually immediately after finding any symptoms of the hose damage i.e.
hose sweating, local bulging, leakage of oil along the ends and on hose surface,
mechanical wear of hose surface up to steel wire cord or damage of yarn braid at low
pressure hoses).
In case of the hydrostatic steering pump failure or at engine standstill, the
steering ability is kept, however, the steering force on the steering wheel is
increased. It is possible to drive the tractor to the nearest place for repair at
reduced driving speed.
Don’t keep the steering wheel in locks for a long time (for 20 seconds as a
maximum); otherwise the oil in a hydrostatic steering circuit will heat
excessively.
