WARNING
Fire hazard.
Do not handle fuel and other flammable
substances in the vicinity of the
vehicle’s electrical componentry.
Before servicing or inspecting the
vehicle, stop the engine and remove
the key, wait for the engine and exhaust
to cool down, and raise the vehicle with
appropriate equipment, on firm and flat
ground.
Before proceeding, make sure the
working area is adequately ventilated.
Take special care with hot parts of the
engine and exhaust: burn hazard.
Do not hold mechanical or other parts
of the vehicle in your mouth: None of
the motorcycle components is edible.
Some components are harmful to the
human body or toxic.
CAUTION
If not otherwise indicated, parts are
reassembled by reversing the order of
disassembly.
In case any maintenance operation has
to be carried out, it is advisable to use
latex gloves.
Routine service operations can usually be
done by the owner, although some
operations may require the use of special
tools and technical skills.
If you need assistance or technical advice,
contact your aprilia Official Dealer for
prompt, accurate service.
Always ask the aprilia Official Dealer to
test the vehicle on the road after repairs or
scheduled service.
And always run the Preliminary Checking
operations after a service in person, as
given in page 53 (PRELIMINARY
CHECKING OPERATIONS).
