10.1 General troubleshooting and fault rectification
NOTICE!
With some error messages the pump should always be sent to the
customer service department as it is only possible to access the level of the
control to which these messages relate. The

pumps to Customer Service.’ on page 149 should be observed!
Fault description Cause Remedy
Metering pump not working.
No display with ‘EcoAdd’ either.
Mains cable damaged. Change mains cable.
Incorrect voltage. Check mains voltage.
No suction on pump despite venting
and max. stroke.
Deposits, sticking valves,
drying out of valves.
Flush out the metering head
via the suction line; if
necessary also remove the
valves and clean or replace
them.
Metering head is leaking, medium
escapes through the diaphragm
rupture drain.
Metering head is loose. Tighten the metering head
fastening screws crosswise.
Tear in diaphragm. Replace diaphragm.
No metering despite full metering
container
.
Suction lance float is
blocked.
Make float functional.
Suction lance connector
or link connector is loose
or not inserted.
Tighten connector, clean
contacts, check whether link
connector is inserted
Defective suction lance
cable.
Replace empty signal device.
