System Settings Procedure
To make or change the system settings, it is necessary to enter the System
Administration mode.
This section describes the basic procedures for system settings. The following shows

Press the <Log In/Out> button.
Step 2 Entering the System Administrator User ID and Passcode
To enter System Administration mode, enter the system administrator’s User ID. If
[Passcode Entry from Control Panel] in [Authentication/Security Settings] is set to [On],
the passcode needs to be entered.
It is recommended to change the system administrator’s user ID and passcode immediately after
installing the machine. For more information, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.180).

Enter the system administrator’s ID
with the numeric keypad or the
keyboard, and select [Enter].
When a passcode is required,
select [Next Input] and enter the
system administrator’s passcode,
then select [Enter].
Note • The default user ID is "11111".
• The default passcode is "x-admin".
• The machine displays the following message if the system administration login failed:
"Login failed. Enter the System Administrator’s Login ID."
• The machine displays the following message if the authentication failed more than the
specified number of times:
"You have made the maximum number of attempts to access the system. Access denied."
