Basic Operation
Turning On the Printer
IMPORTANT:
• Do not use extension cords or power strips.
• The printer should not be connected to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system.

Connect the power cord to the power connector on the rear of your printer (see "Rear View" on
page 45).

Connect the other end of the cord to the power source.

Turn on the printer.
NOTE:
• When you turn on the printer for the first time, follow the on-screen instructions on the LCD panel to
configure the initial settings of your printer.
