Setting up a Record Keeping System
Preparation
The following is needed:
• Quality Assurance binder.
• Hard copy or electronic file of images.
• Quality Assurance Checklists.
• Display the following information while testing quality
assurance:
• Acoustic Output
• Gain
• Depth
• Probe
• Dynamic Range
• Set up new patient to be the name of the test.
• Annotate the following:
• Any control where its value is NOT displayed.
• Significant phantom information.
Record Keeping
Complete the following:
1. Fill out the Ultrasound Quality Assurance Checklist for each
probe, as scheduled.
2. Make a hard copy or archive the image.
3. Compare images to baseline images and acceptable
values.
4. Evaluate trends over previous test periods.
5. File hard copy or electronic file of images and checklist in
Quality Assurance binder.
