Camshaft timing pulley - Reference marks
1 Timing reference mark on cylinder head.
2 Camshaft pulley timing mark
3 Camshaft pulley timing mark, for KDW, 702, 1003,
and 1404 engines.

Camshaft timing pulley - Disassembly/Assembly
Unscrew screw 1 and remove the pulley. No extractor is needed.
When retting tighten the screw at a torque of 80 Nm.
Note:
Assess any wear caused by the lip of the seal ring on the
pulley tang.

Camshaft timing - Belt Reassembly
Important
Remove the distributor toothed belt from its protective
wrapping only when mounting it.
Make the connections for toothed belt g. 33 and that of pulley
g. 34 t together.
Insert the belt (as in gure 35) taking account of the direction of
the arrows A impressed on it (direction of rotation).
Tighten the nut 1 by hand until the belt tightener rests on
surface of the crankcase.
Start by mounting the camshaft pulley belt, then mount
crankshaft’s pulley.
Do not mount driven belts.
