6.6 HYDRAULIC QUICK COUPLER (SINGLE-EFFECT)

The use of quick couplings can be dangerous. Exposed people are under risk of death. Strictly follow
these instructions.
1. Only use quick couplings according to the EN474 European standard. Specially, it should be possible check,
from the operator's work station, that the accessory or bucket locking is completed.
2. Only use quick couplings which feature a check valve driven by the locking cylinder. This guarantees that the
bucket or the accessory does not get loose in case of hydraulic pressure leaks. If you have any queries, con-
tact quick coupling manufacturer.
3. Carefully read the quick coupling user manual and follow the recommendations. In case of doubts about the
installation or operation, consult the Komatsu distributor.
4. The pressure adjustment valve (3) allows to limit the quick coupling pressure based on the manufacturer's
recommendations. Check the quick coupling specifications and check that the valve is correctly set.
5. Make sure that a duly qualified technician installs the quick coupling. In case of doubts, contact the Komatsu
distributor.
• Standard calibration: 190 bar (19 MPa)
Maximum pressure of the circuit: 206 bar (20.6 MPa)
Always check the valve calibration.

With the hydraulic quick coupler enabling switch to position (A)
(LED on) all the electrical controls of the left control lever are
excluded, and the buzzer sounds continuously to indicate that it
is possible to perform the quick release of the equipment
mounted on arm.
